Originally opened in 1970, Seoullo 7017 was an elevated road that crossed over the Seoul Station railway, but when it became dilapidated and unusable for traffic, it was converted into a park in 2017. Gallery Park Young Sook (Atelier Seoul) is the gallery of the modern potter, Park Young Sook. The gallery displays and sells white porcelain representing the Joseon dynasty, Buncheong ware, and ceramics with modern flavors. As the name implies, the gallery feels more like a showroom than a shop, even though the various items, including flower vases, decorative ceramics, and daily use earthenware are for sale. Queen Elizabeth II of England visited Gallery Park Young Sook during her second visit. The gallery has even expanded, with another branch opening in New Jersey.

The Statue of Admiral Yi Sun-Shin can be found at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. Admiral Yi Sun-shin (1545-1598) was a naval commander who served during the Japanese invasion of Korea (also known as Imjin War: 1592-1598). The undefeated admiral achieved 23 victories against the Japanese navy using innovative tactics, and he is thus considered as one of the greatest generals in the history of Korea. Admiral Yi’s likeness can be found on the 100 won coin.
