Up until the early 1960's, people would cross the Hangang River from Ttukseom Ferry Dock and arrive in Cheongdam-dong. Although highly developed, Cheongdam Park remains as a soothing natural oasis that is relatively untouched by city pollution. Following the trail, there is a small exercise area and playground. The park is quite crowded in the morning with people exercising. The tightly woven trees in the park offers a resting place to enjoy fresh air. The park size is 59,347 ㎡.

It is a Sundae and Rice Soup restaurant that SHINee's Key and Minho have chosen as the soul food that they used to eat after their schedules since their trainee days. Hwagyesa Temple was built in 1522 (the seventeenth year of the reign of King Jungjong of the Joseon dynasty) by monk Shinwol, but was destroyed in a fire in 1618. It was rebuilt the following year, and expanded In 1866 through the efforts of Monks Yongseon and Beomun.
The temple also has various templestay programs for visitors. Hwagyesa Temple is located not too far from the city but also provides a natural environment.

Alternative Space Loop (also known as the “Loop”) is one of few alternative space in Korea, opened in February, 1999.
