The S.J. Cho Korean Paper Art Gallery is dedicated to hanji (traditional Korean paper) art and was the first of gallery in Korea to focus on this traditional medium. It is also the center of the Korean Hanji Art Organization, which has helped popularize hanji art over the past 30 years. Visitors can browse through hanji art in the gallery, enjoy traditional tea in the café, or look out at Bukhansan Mountain from the rooftop. The experience hall is located in the basement, where visitors can learn more about hanji art, or even try their hand at making their own.

As the nation began to recover from the aftermath of the Korean War, farmers from the northern Gyeonggi-do region and Ganwon-do gathered around the old Seongdong Station (renamed ‘Hansol Donguibogam’) to sell their produce and wares. The farmers’ impromptu gathering on the fallow farmland to make their transactions soon led to the birth of a new marketplace. With the recent remodeling of the market, including the long-neglected Gyeongdong Theater, the place feels totally renewed and full of energy. This 5th Starbucks Community Store is housed in a restored theater in Gyeongdong Market. The store has a win-win agreement with local merchants. Starbucks created a multiple cultural space in collaboration with LG Electronics such as LG Gold Star Radio Refresh Center. Every week, local artists and college students present culture and art performances on the stage that recreated the theatre concept. To offer a special experience suitable to an old theater, Starbucks developed the Retro Theater-like CND. For differentiated customer experiences, the store sells store-baked crafted food and exclusive merchandise.

Dongdaemun History & Culture Park is a park established on the former site of the Dongdaemun Stadium. It serves as a thematic park showcasing the history and culture of Seoul, while also providing a space to experience modern design and culture. During the park's development in 2008, numerous artifacts from the Joseon dynasty, including The Two Floodgates, the Chiseong Castle, Military Training Agency, and over 1,000 relics from the Joseon era, were excavated.
