Village 736 is a self-contained private pension situated in Hongcheon, Gangwon-dong, with breathtaking views of Geumhaksan Mountain in back, Hongcheongang River in front, and the foothills of Soeppulbong Peak in the distance. Apart from the family guest building, which is a private pension on the first floor, all of the buildings have a three-story structure, with a kitchen and an outdoor deck on the first floor, a living room and a bathtub on the second floor, and a bedroom on the third floor. There is an outdoor swimming pool in the center of the pension. Each guest building has its own barbecue area, and barbecue sets can be ordered. Complimentary breakfast such as sandwiches are provided to guests.

Gapyeong Naengmyeon Buson is renowned for its Pyeongyang-style memil guksu (buckwheat noodles) served in a light, clear broth. The restaurant's signature dish is the siraegi deulgireum makguksu (buckwheat noodles with dried radish leaf and perilla oil). Siraegi, made from dried cabbage leaves or radish leaves, are rich in vitamins. When placed on top of memil myeon (buckwheat noodles) and mixed with deulgireum (perilla oil) and soy sauce seasoning, it creates a uniquely delightful flavor. The Gangchon Resort, as one of Chuncheon’s major resorts, stretches along the Bukhangang River and the Gangchoncheon Stream. It offers splendid scenery and many neighboring tourist attractions, such as Gugok Falls, Deungseon Falls, and Samaksan Mountain. It has excellent accessibility of public transportation, many theme park facilities, and accommodation facilities, so it has been a popular location for a young people’s membership trip from the 1970s to the 1990s. Near the former Gangchon Station, the large sculpture “Ddo-ori Gangchon” has been installed, and the reduced-size model of the Deungseongyo Bridge (suspension bridge), which was a famous tourist attraction in the past, has been reproduced. In particular, “Ddo-ori Gangchon,” which is a popular photo zone, was built by embodying the Scaly-side Merganser (Mergus squamatus, Natural Monument No. 448), which come the area of Gangchon in winter. Additionally, the Deungseongyo Bridge, which was Korea’s first suspension bridge, but demolished in 1985, was reproduced as a tourist pedestrian bridge with a length of 58 m. Furthermore, Gangchon Land, which is a well-known theme park, and the activity of four-wheel motorcycle riding along the riverside, are also major tourist attractions in Gangchon.
