Sugamgyegok Valley, stretching 10 kilometers long, meanders around Sangwonsan and Gariwangsan Mountains. The roads flanking the valley are favored destinations for scenic drives. One of the valley's key features is the Sugamsaem Spring, known for its clear and cold water. Upstream, a 20-meter-tall waterfall stands as a prime attraction, complemented by the historical Sugamseowon Confucian Academy. Yoseonjeong Pavilion is located in a valley with a clear stream water flowing below. Next to the pavilion is a large rock with the word Yoseonnam inscribed on it. During the Unified Silla period, there was a small hermitage where Yoseongjeong Pavilion stands today. The hermitage was frequented by monks Doyun and Jinghyo, who had founded Heungnyeongseonwon Temple on a foothill of Sajasan Mountain to teach the values and principles of Buddhism. Today, next to the pavilion is a small stone pagoda and a statue of seated Buddha.

Jeonggangwon Tourist Farm in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, is a tourist complex with a farm and wildflower garden, a food museum, and a Korean restaurant - plus a jangdokdae with hundreds of jars full of pickling and fermenting ingredients. It was founded by food researcher Cho Jung-gang to promote Korean food traditions. Youngwol Y Park is a complex art space that recreated the Sulsaem Museum, which opened in 2014, into a regeneration space that combines contemporary works of art, museums, and workshops. This newly created contemporary art space was planned by sculptor Choi Ok-yeung. Located in Jucheon-myeon’s untouched beautiful nature, the space is composed of Red Bamboo, Red Pavilion, and Jupiter, which are works using the signature red color of Choi Ok-yeung. The artist designed the space according to various themes, such as life, space, and regeneration, intending to evoking various feelings within visitors through viewing and experience. It is a huge art museum and land art space divided into 11 landscapes, and it's worth taking the time to look around slowly.

Arirang is a globally renowned Korean folk song. The song is rooted in many different regions and thus Korea has several versions of “Arirang.” “Jeongseon Arirang” is the source of all “Arirang,” and in recognition of its value, it was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2012. The Jeongseon Arirang Festival is held to preserve and develop the folk song. It starts off with the Chilhyeon Ritual Ceremony, held in honor of the patriotic fidelity of chilhyeon, the seven loyalists in the last years of the Goryeo dynasty who appear in the origin story of “Jeongseon Arirang.” The ceremony also prays for a successful festival and the well-being of the county’s people. The festival features 83 events, including the Arirang Parade and the National Arirang Singing Contest.
