Located to the west of Haeundae Beach, Gwangalli Beach is 1.4 kilometers long and 25~110 meters wide, and is famous for its fine sand. Busan Fireworks Festival takes place every autumn along Gwangalli Beach. The festival’s diverse programs of cultural events, high-tech laser light shows, and myriad of unique and colorful fireworks make this one of the area’s most popular festivals, drawing crowds of over 1 million visitors each year. Site of Dongnaeeupseong Walled Town, built towards the end of the Goryeo dynasty and the early Joseon dynasty, was a significant fortress during the Imjin War in 1592. It served as the main battleground where civilians, officials, and soldiers united to resist the Japanese forces. Recognizing the strategic importance of the Dongnae area, a much larger fortress was constructed in 1731, replacing the original structure from one built during war. Today, only traces of the fortress remain, with the Bukmun Gate, Insaengmun Gate, Dongjangdae Command Post, Seojangdae Command Post, and Bukjangdae Command Post having been restored.

F1963 is a representative cultural complex and an emerging landmark in Busan. This factory produced wires in the past for about 45 years from 1963 to 2008. 2016 Busan Biennale was a turning point for this building as the building was transformed into a space for art and culture; various cultural events take place and it has an art library, exhibition hall, and concert hall. The base design and framework from the old factory were preserved during the renovation, leaving traces of the old building that give its unique atmosphere. Regenerated architecture and walking trails outside the space are designed to offer a pleasant walk. Visitors can also enjoy food, drinks, and activities inside the building from renowned branch stores such as Terarosa, a famous cafe in Gangneung; Boksoondoga, where one can taste the essence of traditional Korean fermented makgeolli (unrefined rice wine), and Hwasumok Flower & Garden, where visitors can take gardening and flower classes.
