Ganwolsan Mountain is a popular destination for hikers in the Ulsan and Busan area as well as other regions of Gyeongsangnam-do. In early August, the reeds and lilies near the summit create a splendid view. To the west, the deep Naerijeong and Wangbonggol Valleys channel clean water to Baenaegol Pass.
From the Ganwolgogae Pass, hikers can follow the Singal Path to Wanbonggol Pass towards Paraeso Falls. There, visitors will find a cave called Jungnimgul, which is sacred Catholic ground often visited by the Catholic faithful. The first church built by Catholics in the Yeongnam region to escape persecution is found in Buldanggol Pass in Ganwolsan Mountain area. The tomb of Kim Agatha who died in persecution is also in the Ganwolgol Valley.

Boksoondoga is a traditional brewery located in Uljun-gun, Ulsan. The brewery produces makgeolli, an unrefined rice wine with a pure taste. Boksoondoga uses only the finest domestic rice and traditional pottery in the fermenting process for a truely Korean liquour.

Tongdo Fantasia is located in Yangsan, Gyeongsangnam-do, which shares borders with Milyang, Ulsan and Busan. This makes the amusement park very accessible by any means of transportation. Tongdo Fantasia operates Tongdo Country Club as well, and nearby Tongdosa Temple is also available for visitors who want to look around the local historic sites. The amusement park, the biggest theme park in Gyeongsangnam-do sits at the foot of Yeongchwisan Mountain, has over 30 amusement facilities, a large-scale swimming pool, a natural lake, a plaza for various events and a large-scale outdoor theatre, all offering various activities and events.

Gyeonggi Sikdang is nestled near the Tongdosa Temple, one of Korea's three major temples. It is celebrated for its expertise in Korean cuisine. The restaurant's signature dish is sanchae bibimbap (wild vegetable bibimbap), a vibrant mix of at least five types of namul (salad) harmoniously blended with their homemade gochujang (red chili paste). Each order is thoughtfully paired with an array of side dishes and a complementary soup. In addition to this signature dish, Gyeonggi Sikdang's menu boasts a diverse selection of Korean specialties, such as deodeok gui (grilled deodeok), dotorimuk (acorn jelly salad), pajeon (green onion pancake), and baeksuk (whole chicken soup).

Paraesopokpo Falls is located in Baenaegol Valley, connected to the foothills of Ganwolsan and Sinbulsan Mountains. The falls and surrounding valley are a popular attraction during the summer among vacationers and hikers eager to escape from the summer heat. The falls' water flows into Baenaecheon Stream, which later merges with the Nakdonggang River.

Dodong Sanbang is a restaurant with five separate traditional Korean buildings situated on a large plot of land. It serves great traditional Korean set meals, and has a separate tea room where customers can enjoy a cup of tea after dining. Excluding winter, the restaurant offers a special program called “tteok mechigi” (rice cake pounding) where customers are invited to pound (or make) a rice cake with a mallet and eat it. The restaurant also includes a traditional souvenir shop and rice cake shop, and offers cultural programs.

Located in Gajisan Provincial Park, Yeongchuksan Mountain has an elevation of 1,059 meters. The name of the mountain “Yeongchuk” is known to have originated from the name of a mountain in the ancient kingdom of Magadha in central India. The mountain is also called Chwiseosan and has such beautiful scenery that it is often referred to as the Alps of Yeongnam. The broad valley that extends at the foot of Yeongchuksan Mountain provides a great walk to the hermitages scattered around the famous Tongdosa Temple.
Yeongchuksan Mountain is considered the best of the eight beautiful places in Yangsan City. The other seven places are Cheonseogsan Mountain, Naewonsagyegok Valley, Hongnyongpokpo Falls, Baenaegol Valley, Cheontaesan Mountain, Imgyeongdae Terrace on Obongsan Mountain, and Tapgol Recreational Forest on Daeunsan Mountain.

Sinbulsan Falls National Recreational Forest, located at the foot of Sinbulsan Mountain, is noted for the Yeongnam Alps and the beautiful surrounding valleys. Famous forest attractions in particular are the mountain's valleys and waterfalls. The Parasopokpo Falls are a picturesque series of cascading falls. Near the falls are old Buddhist temples and the silver grass field of Sinbulsan Mountain. The forest houses a walking path, health training facility, forest exhibition hall, and accommodation facilities such as the Cabin House, Forest Recreation Center, a camping deck and a camping site.

Vanastha, located in the forest inside Daeam Dam in Ulju-gun, is a forest yoga house that means "stay in the forest."
