Gupo Market is a big-scale traditional market located within the busy streets of Gupo in Busan. This dessert shop is located near Mipo Station and Haeundae Blueline Park at the end of Haeundae Beach. It serves gelato ice cream wrapped in a thin skin of sweet rice cake, and its appearance resembles steamed buns or sweet rice cake with red bean filling. The signature menu here is roasted pistachio. Customers can pick their favorite filling, from roasted pistachio to other fillings like Jeju green tea and coffee-cinnamon cookies. The cake is served on a small wooden plate, so it is perfect for posting on social media feeds. However, due to the immense popularity, the store sets a limit on how many one can buy and subject to early closure when they run out ingredients. The store doesn’t have any seating tables and usually have a long waiting line so visitors are advised to visit early.
