The Fisheries Science Museum, Korea's first science institute of its kind, was established on May 26, 1997 in order to promote maritime science and technology to the public. The museum was opened after six years of effort by the National Fisheries Science Institute in preparing research and materials regarding marine resources, the fishing industry, fishery and fish farm technology and equipment, taxidermied fish specimens, sea life species, and others. There are a total of 15 separate areas with over 7,400 exhibition items, and even an actual right whale skeleton on display, as well as a room where visitors can learn how to operate a marine vessel.

The 40-step Culture & Tourism Theme Street is a 450-meter street leading up to the 40-step stairway of the '40-step Cultural Center' and continues to the Palseong Tour.
The time-honored 40-step stairway embodies the joys and sorrows of refugees and those displaced by the Korean War. The entire area has been recently renovated to reflect life in Korea in the 50s & 60s.
The 40-step Culture & Tourism Theme Street was designated 'The Best Street' by the Busan municipal government in June 2004.

AREA6 is a multipurpose cultural space made to promote the artisans and artists of Busan as a part of an urban regeneration project. On the first floor, there are a total of nine spaces, including F&B brands, select shops, and information centers. The second floor is a co-working space and lounge, and the third floor consists of a rooftop and seminar room that anyone can freely use.
