Hoeryongpo Village (회룡포)

Hoeryongpo Village is surrounded by the winding Naeseongcheon Stream, a tributary of the Nakdonggang River. The course of the stream has almost turned the entire village into an island. The best views of the scenic nature can be seen from Jangansa Temple.

Hoeryongpo Village is jar-shaped, surrounded by the river, and has pristine waters and white sandy shores. The shore gives way to trees, and there is a well-developed farm further inland. There used to be almost 20 households in this village, but now only 9 households remain. It takes less than an hour to tour the entire village.

Seonbichon Village in Yeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, the cradle of Korean Confucianism, is where the spirit and cultural heritage of Korea’s classical scholars are preserved. The village is the perfect place to learn about traditional Korea, and is famous for its classical scholars’ loyalty and filial piety.

Seonbichon village offers a variety of traditional activities for visitors, from pounding rice cake to hanging wish lanterns to attending a traditional wedding ceremony or playing folk games such as yutnori or jegichagi. Visitors can also enjoy traditional dining at Jeojatgeori Street and learn about history through the museum. Guests can also enjoy the unique experience of staying in a hanok house through the overnight program and participate in scholar programs.

Yeongdeok Sunrise Park (영덕 해맞이공원)

Yeongdeok Sunrise Park is located on the eastern coast, with an unmanned lighthouse and wooden promenades, using wood from trees that were damaged in a large fire here in 1997. The observation deck from the peak of the park provides grand views of the surrounding area, and is a popular location for photography. Additional attractions within the park include a pergola, musical fish statues, and an ecological education field.

Daege Wonjo Village (Chayu Fishing Village) (대게원조 차유어촌체험마을)

The crabs caught from the sea near this village had legs that resemble bamboo shoots, earning the name "daege," combining the letters that mean bamboo and crab in Korean. The village was originally known as Chayu Village, meaning "to cross on a wagon," from during the Goryeo period because the village resembled a saddle on a wagon. But recently, it has been renamed Yeongdeok Daege Wonjo Village and a local monument has been established. The nearby Gyeongjeong Breakwater is famous among anglers.

Gayasan Wildflower Botanical Garden (가야산 야생화식물원)

Gayasan Wildflower Botanical Garden opened on June 16, 2006 as the nation's first botanical garden dedicated to wildflowers. The garden is home to over 400 plant species, ranging from wildflowers to trees, and serves as a cultural space with educational research and preservation training. In addition to the general exhibition hall, there is a greenhouse on the basement level. There are 92 tree types including pine, 54 bush types including royal azalea, and 257 wildflower types including windflowers. The garden is beautiful all year round, showcasing the changing of the seasons.

Located east of Daegu downtown, Palgongsan Mountain (1,192.3m) was called both Jungaksan and Buaksan Mountain during the Silla period. The mountain has many ancient temples and historical sites such as the Gatbawi Stone Buddha, Wonhyosa Temple, Cheonseongsa Temple and Bulgulsa Temple.

Hakgasan Recreational Forest is located in a valley on the northern side of Hakgasan Mountain, known for its clean air. The recreational forest has log cabins that harmonize with the nearby trees, creeks, and rocks, making visitors feel as if they are resting at a luxury villa. It is an ideal vacation destination for those who want to get closer to nature. There is a hiking path leading to the summit of Hakgasan Mountain from the forest, taking around 2 hours. Goraebul Beach is located in Yeongdeok, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Its fine white sands stretch for 8 kilometers giving way to clean seawaters, and it is shaded by a pine forest. The beach has various facilities for visitors' comfort including shower stalls, restroom, drinking fountain, snack bar and parking lot. Nearby tourist attractions include Wijeong Mineral Spring and Jangyuksa Temple. In Goesi-ri, there are many ancient buildings that can be seen throughout the area. Roughly 30 houses that are approximately 200 years old line the coastal drive. National Road number 7 heading north showcases almost all of the famous tourist attractions that line the East Sea.

Andong Hanji, located at the entrance of Hahoe Village, an area preserving Korean traditions and customs, has done its best to continue the manufacturing of traditional Korean paper, hanji. Andong Hanji makes hanji using Korean paper mulberry and clean water. The center features many items made from hanji, and offers experience programs for students, as well as factory tours to learn more about the complete production process. Andong Hanji is proudly produces the largest amount of exceptional quality hanji in approximately 60 different types for various uses.

Gayasan Mountain in Gyeongsangbuk-do was designated as a national park in 1972. The mountain's main peak, Chilbulbong Peak, towers at 1,433 meters. It borders Seongju-gun, Hapcheon-gun and Geochang-gun. In particular, the mountain range stretching along Suryun-myeon, Seongju-gun is famous for its scenic nature. Furthermore, the beautiful Gayasan Beltway, which extends from Suryun-myeon to Gayasan Mountain, highlights the splendor and grandeur of the precipitous crimson cliffs.
