Situado al pie del monte Geumjeongsan (de 801,5 metros de altitud), el Parque Geumgang se extiende sobre un terreno de 3 millones de metros cuadrados, llenos de densos bosques y escarpados acantilados surcados por serpenteantes arroyos. En cualquier época del año acude un gran número de personas a visitar los muchos lugares históricos y culturales de la región, que una vez sirvió como base de operaciones del gobierno de la Dinastía Joseon. Esta zona era conocida como Geumgangwon antes de convertirse en un parque en junio de 1973. El 1º de julio de 2004, el parque fue centro de atención de nuevo al eliminarse la tarifa de entrada y pasar a ser gratuito.

Además de las instalaciones deportivas típicas, como campos de bádminton, el parque cuenta también con teleféricos, coches de choque, y otras atracciones. Abierto el 10 de junio de 1994, el Museo de Historia Marina Natural de Busan es el mayor museo de este tipo en Corea. Cuenta con unos 25.000 especímenes marinos de más de 100 países de todo el mundo, incluyendo especies vivas y especies nativas de Corea. El museo abrió una segunda sala de exhibiciones en abril de 2003 y estrenó el Museo de Aldeas Pesqueras Tradicionales de Busan el 23 de febrero de 2007.

Wonjojipbul Gomjangeo Gijang Oegajip opened its doors in March, 1991, commercializing grilled eel over a straw fire. It became the inspiration for other grilled eel restaurants to be established in the neighborhood, building the "Grilled Eel Alley" in Gongsu Village. Other than its specialty, grilled eel over a straw fire, the restaurant also features yangnyeom gui (marinated grilled eel), sogeum gui (grilled salted eel), and maeuntang (spicy fish stew), which are available for take-out.
