Known as the birthplace of Korean pears, Naju pears are well-known for its long history. The fruit was exported worldwide starting in 1967. The Naju Pear Museum promotes the fruit and is a learning center for its agricultural history. The museum opened on April 20, 1992 and is the world's only pear museum.

Naro Space Center (나로우주센터) – Korea’s first – is a launching pad for various space projectiles, including the rocket-launching of satellites. A ceremony was held upon the completion of the Center on June 11, 2009, making Korea the 13th country in the world to have a space center.
Naro Space Center mounts exhibitions and educates about space science technology. There is a Space Science Museum consisting of science exhibits, a 4D experience room (to be built) and an outdoor exhibition where students and children can learn about and experience space science technology.

Gimcheon World Porcelain Museum is located at the entrance to Jikjisa Temple. Nearly 1,000 artifacts, including Western porcelain and crystal donated by the Korean-Japanese Bokjeonyeongja are on display. The museum has three exhibition halls and one video hall that exhibit refined, elegant porcelain from all over the world.

Wooyang Art Museum, located in the Bomun Tourist Complex, is a private gallery of modern art established in 1991. The collections of major modern and contemporary artists are on display. The museum targets famous modern art collections and retrospective exhibitions of artists in the middle of their careers.

The Gongju Folk Drama Museum is a special museum in which a variety of Korean folk arts can be experienced. The dolls, masks and musical instruments that are used in folk dramas, shamanism-related resources and conventional farming implements are on display, nestled in a small, cozy pine grove (9,398㎡).
On Saturdays and Sundays, visitors can participate in a mask making program or watch a puppet show. In spring (before and after mid-March, lunar calendar), the Gyeryongsan Sansinje Ritual is practiced near Gyeryongsan Mountain. During the ritual, local festivals are also held. In fall (the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of every October), the Asian Monodrama Festival is held at a museum theater and outdoor performance stage. During this festival, visitors can watch historic and contemporary Asian monodramas.

This early printing museum, located on the site of Heungdeoksa Temple in which Jikji, the world's oldest extant book, printed by movable metal type, was printed, was founded on March 17, 1992. Since the technology’s inception, Korea has substantially developed its metal-type printing methods. In this museum, approximately 650 artifacts including ancient movable metal and wooden print books from the Goryeo and Joseon periods, relics from the Heungdeoksaji Temple site (흥덕사지) and printing tools are on display. Here, visitors can learn about the history of the Korean printing technologies and culture.
In addition to exhibition, the museum has been promoted to hold the Cheongju International Printing & Publishing Fair, to study early printing culture and printing types and to publish museum journals and early printing-related papers.
