Nonjinmul (논짓물)

Nonjinmul is a natural beach created as spring water flows into the sea, causing seawater and freshwater to meet. “Nonjinmul” means “just throwing away the water” because the spring water rises up close to the coast and cannot be used for agricultural or drinking water. Currently, a large amount of freshwater flows into the sea, and it has an embankment, pools, and showers, making it a popular swimming spot. In the summer, the Yerae Eco Village Experience Festival is held here, where visitors can enjoy various memorable experiences, such as catching olive flounder with one’s bare hands. Nonjinmul is part of the Jeju Olle Trail Course 8. Yerae Coastal Road, stretching out next to it, is an excellent driving course where one can enjoy the seascape. It is also great to stop by Nonjinmul while enjoying trekking or driving. However, the waves are strong outside the saltwater pool, so caution is needed to avoid accidents.

Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road, which continues along the western tip of Jeju Island, presents a view of windmills lined up along the road from an offshore wind farm. There are many other things that unfold before one's eyes as while looking out upon the blue sea, like Chagwido Island afar. The road is well-known for its beautiful sunset so it is a great place to take pictures and watch the setting sun. Along the coastal road is a trail named Eco Experience. It features a Kelp grouper statue, Wondam Experience Site and a rest area where visitors can take selfies with many different backdrops. The observatory located in the middle of the trail is relatively quiet and visitors are recommended to head towards the observatory after taking a few photos on their walk up from Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road.

Moonsso Jeju Hyeopjae (문쏘 제주협재점)

Moonsso is located near Ongpo-ri Port. It is a fusion restaurant inspired by the cuisine of Okinawa. Its signature menu is the Chinese-style Sand Crab Curry, which features a whole Jeju sand crab. Indeed, this restaurant uses Jeju specialties like sand crab, black pork, and mackerel to create unique menus. Moonsso is one of the Top 100 restaurants chosen by Ctrip "Misingnim," the “Asian Michelin Guide”, in recognition of its fine dining offerings made using Jeju’s local specialties. From the entrance, there are five different concepts of interior rooms, each with its own uniquely photogenic atmosphere in both exterior and interior. The airfield was built by Jeju-do residents under force by the Japanese army during the Second World War. Visitors can explore the airfield, the control tower, an anti-aircraft emplacement and a hangar at the site. There are relics of the Japanese army and tragic relics of Korea's modern history at 4.3 Historic Site and Jinji Cave in the vicinity to Songaksan Mountain and close to the airfield.

Suwolbong Peak (수월봉)

Suwolbong peak is a small oreum located in Gosan-ri, the westernmost point of Jejudo Island. Suwolbong rises 77 meters above sea level and the ocean-facing natural formation is surrounded by steches of green fields. On a clear day, the sunset from Suwolbong is comparable in beauty to the one from Sarabong.

On top of Suwolbong Peak is a small pavilion called Suwoljeong. The pavilion offers views of Chagwido (an island known to be the most beautiful in Jeju), as well as Songaksan Mountain and Jukdo Island. Next to Suwolbong Peak is a mountain weather station that observes and forecasts the weather for the western region.

Below the peak is a small Buddhist temple and Eongal, a steep cliff which faces toward the sea. Visitors can enjoy mineral water that falls freely from the cliff.
