The Yeouido Spring Flower Festival is held on Yeouiseo Road (Yunjung-ro) in mid-April when the azaleas, forsythia, royal azaleas, and other spring flowers are in full bloom. The celebration is famous for its 1,886 Korean cherry trees.

Mapodaegyo Bridge connects Yonggang-dong, Mapo-gu and Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu. The bridge is 1,400 meters long and 25 meters wide (6-lane road), and was the fourth bridge to be built over the Hangang River, following the construction of Hannam Bridge. The construction of the bridge first started in February of 1968 and was completed in May of 1970. At the time of its completion the bridge was named Seouldaegyo Bridge, but was later changed to Mapodaegyo Bridge in 1984.

The market handles about 50% of metropolitan volume and trades 250 to 300 tons of fishery products every day. The prices of fishery products are decided according to quantity so one is recommended to visit the official website to check the bid. General retail prices are 10 to 20% higher than the auction prices. The market is a mix of wholesale and retail stores and has a lively atmosphere, especially in the early morning from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m., when the live fish auction takes place.
