This bakery in Seongsu-dong boasts a colorful and unique visual, and is gaining popularity for its “cruffin,” a hybrid of a croissant and muffin. The menu includes a variety of breads and desserts, such as canelé, pound cake, crumble, and mille-feuille, making it a paradise for bread-lovers. The courtyard of the building, which was remodeled from an old factory, has thick bushes and a small square pond, offering a unique view. The floor-to-ceiling windows in this two-story building create the feeling of a wide, open space, making it full of photo opportunities.

Seosomun Historical Park (서소문역사공원)

The Seosomun Gate area, which is located outside Seosomun Gate, was used as a persecution site in the 19th century before it turned into the local park of today. Many Catholics were suppressed and martyred here, making the area a holy site for Korean Catholics. Seosomun Gate was a gateway to Chilpae Market located near Namdaemun Gate. It was always busy with passerbys and the persecution site was established outside the gate to set an example of crime punishment to all the witnesses.

On May 15, 1999, a memorial tower was raised at the center of the park in honor of the martyrs. In 2013, Seoul's Jung-gu district also founded Seosumun Holy Shrine History Museum with a memorial exhibition hall in their honor.

Seoullo 7017 (서울로 7017)

Originally opened in 1970, Seoullo 7017 was an elevated road that crossed over the Seoul Station railway, but when it became dilapidated and unusable for traffic, it was converted into a park in 2017. It is about 17 metres above the ground and offers a panoramic view of the Seoul Station Railway and the city of Seoul. It is directly connected to Seoul Station.

Boan1942 (보안1942)

Prior to becoming an art space in 2007, Tongui-dong Boan served as a place for rest for travelers from 1942 to 2005. After a short suspension, the place was renovated into a cultural space in 2017 to carry on the historical legacy and provide creative inspiration under the concept of "Boanstay." 

Boan1942 is divided into a cultural space consisting of a cafe, project workshop, book shop, and exhibition area, and Boanstay on the 3rd and 4th floors that offer temporary lodging services to the cultural nomads. Korean National Police Heritage Museum (경찰박물관)

The police museum opened on October 14, 2005 to give a better understanding of the job of the police and to offer a formal education to children who wish to become police officers in the future. The history hall of the museum is designed for visitors to learn about the history of Korean police at a glance, exhibiting information on the police force from the Joseon dynasty up until current times.

Visitors to the museum can pretend to be police officers by touching actual equipment and learning about an officer's daily tasks. Visitors can also get in patrol cars, wear a police uniform, experience shooting a gun through a simulation, and learn self-defense martial arts and arrest techniques. Visitors can also go to the museum jail.
