The Cheonan World Dance Festival is a global event that brings everyone together through dance, transcending nationalities and language barriers. Dancers from all over the world gather in Cheonan to participate in various festival programs. The National Dance Competition is the highlight of the festival, with a total prize of about KRW 100 million. There is also the Street Dance Parade across the city center and the International Dance Competition in which dance teams from across the globe participate. Cheonjin is a Chinese restaurant near the Cheonan Terminal. It has been passed down generations after being founded by a second-generation Hwagyo (member of the Chinese diaspora in Korea). The restaurant offers authentic Chinese dishes in its lunch and dinner courses. The course menus include Cantonese Shark’s Fin, jeongabok (stir-fried assorted seafood), yangjangpi (starch sheet salad with mustard sauce), and gochujapchae (chili pepper japchae), culminating in jjajangmyeon (black bean sauce noodles) or other noodle dishes and fruits as dessert. There are also a la carte menus like jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), udon, and tangsuyuk (deep-fried pork with sweet and sour sauce).
