The Natural Heritage Center was established to help visitors learn about the value and importance of natural heritages through exhibitions and education on the methodical study of natural heritages. Fossils of dinosaur eggs and footprints along with animal and plant specimens and many other natural heritages are on display. With the guide of professional researchers, young visitors can learn more about natural heritages through hands-on activities, video education and many other experiential programs that are only provided at the Natural Heritage Center.

The center is developing more exhibitions through academic exchanges with UNESCO and various international organizations specializing in natural heritages.

Seowongol Yuhwang Ori is a restaurant dedicated to duck dishes. It presents a diverse menu that includes ori hoejeongui (rotisserie duck), ori bulgogi (duck bulgogi), ori hunje (smoked duck), and ori hanbang jeongol (duck hot pot with medicinal herbs). The standout offering is the ori hanbang jeongol, a Korean nutritious food featuring sunsal ori roseu (boneless grilled duck) cooked with chives and water parsley, resulting in a refreshing flavor. It pairs exceptionally well with a sauce crafted from the combination of chojang (red chili paste with vinegar) and perilla seed powder.

Leeungno Museum (이응노 미술관)

Leeungno Museum, opened in May 2007, commemorates the life and work of the artist Goam Lee Ungno (1904-1989), who devoted his whole life to the modernization and globalization of Korean tradition through architecture. The museum consists of one basement floor and two ground floors designed by French architect Laurent Beaudouin. Various art works from reliefs to paintings can be found throughout the museum.

Daejeon Jagwangsa Temple (자광사(대전))

Legend has it that the region of Hakha-dong was where the gods lived when they periodically came down from the heavens. When Jagwangsa Temple was built in the district, Song Siyeol saw it as a sign and created a village school near the temple to train his pupils. It was his hope that the sacred land would aide in the raising of gifted students who would grow to serve their community and country. When building the school, Song Siyeol also planted a juniper tree that, 300 years later, still proudly stands by Jagwangsa Temple.

Upon entering the temple area, visitors will find to their left the Seongjeonnyeongdangji Memorial Stone, which serves to commemorate Song Siyeol and his school. Next to the memorial stone is a pond in which carp swim lazily around lotus flowers. From the white wooden chair in front of the pond, there is a large bell to the left and main Dharma Hall to the right.

Founded by a North Korean native, the restaurant has become nationally famous for its authentic Pyeongyang naengmyeon flavor. The rich broth, a blend of beef stock simmered for hours and matured dongchimi (radish water kimchi) broth, is full of flavor. The restaurant is also known for its smooth, house-made buckwheat noodles.
