The Korea Tea Cup Museum opened in March of 2022 as the first museum dedicated solely to displaying dawon, traditional tea cups. The museum displays around 700 cups from the past to modern times, while maintaing over 2,500 tea cups in storage for rotational exhibitions. The museum is operated by Kim Seon-sik, an eight-generation potter. A range of experience programs is available with advance reservation.

Mungyeong Spa (문경종합온천)

Mungyeong Spa is an enormous hot springs complex that first opened in March 2001 and is able to accommodate up to 2,500 visitors at one time, as well as up to 1,000 vehicles in the spacious parking lot.

It offers two types of hot springs water. The yellow earth-colored hot springs water comes from 900 meters underground and the other hot springs water comes from 750 meters below the ground.

Mungyeong Flying Land, a top paragliding facility, is conveniently located in Mungyeong, which offers excellent conditions for this amazing sport. Mungyeong’s geographic features create an excellent updraft and steady winds, and the area’s total absence of high-tension wires provides plenty of open space for a safe landing. Paragliding at this site offers a spectacular view thanks to the several mountain terrains that surround the area. There also many tourist attractions nearby such as Mungyeong Spa, Mungyeongsaejae Pass, and more.

Mungyeong Dansan Monorail (문경단산 모노레일)

Mungyeong Dansan Monorail allows riders to take in the beauty of the Baekdu Mountain Range that surrounds Mungyeong over a 3.6 km-long course. Dansan Mountain has been famous for its pure environment for a long time. More recently, the area has become known as a filming site for various dramas.

Ssanggok Valley (쌍곡구곡)

Ssanggok Valley, which is located in Chilseong-myeon, Goesan-gun, is 10.5km long stretching from Ssanggok village to Jesurijae.

The valley is surrounded by Bobaesan Mountain, Gunjasan Mountain and Bihaksan Mountain and clear water flows all year down the walls of a series of unique rock formations.

Thanks to its scenic beauty, many Confucian scholars used to visit here to enjoy literature and nature.

Ssanggok Valley is composed of nine valleys and each has its own unique atmosphere.

The first valley, Holongso, flows into a swamp area with many old pine trees nearby creating a picturesque view. The second valley is called Sogeumgang and it is said that its appearance changes with every season. Tteokbawi (rice cake rock) Valley gets its name from the shape it takes on, which is like a sliced rice cake. Similar to the first valley, Munsuam Valley, the fourth valley also has water flowing over uniquely shaped rocks with many old pine trees and flora. The fifth valley has quite a view of parallel rocks on both sides, while the sixth valley offers magnificent vistas of water flowing into a pool formed by the rocks. The water cascading down a huge boulder is said to look like the pleats of a woman’s skirt unfolding at the seventh valley. The eighth valley gathers water into a pond shape from the waterfall; legend says that fairies bathe here. The ninth valley is wide and refreshingly cool even during the hottest summer months.

Bapsang Wiui Boyak Hancheop is a notable restaurant located near the Multae-ri cable car station, renowned for its dedication to serving traditional Jecheon dishes. The restaurant is particularly famous for offering side dishes prepared with local specialties such as deodeok and various types of namul. Its flagship offering, the Boyak Hancheop, is a grilled marinated eel set menu. The restaurant has garnered significant acclaim, having won the Grand Prize in the Chungbuk Traditional Cuisine Contest. Mungyeong Seonyudonggyegok Valley (선유동계곡(문경))

Seonyudonggyegok Valley in Mungyeong is longer and more beautiful than the valley of the same name in Goesan. Daeyasan Mountain (931 meters) runs across both valleys, which are 10 kilometers apart from each other. The valley is relatively untouched as it is not yet well known to the public. At the beginning and the end of the trail are Hakcheonjeong and Chirujeong Pavilions, respectively. Both sides of the valley are lined with thick forests of ancient pine trees. A number of stone carvings can be found in the forest, and the most famous one reads “Seonyugyegok.” It was written by Choi Chi-won, a leading scholar of the Silla kingdom.

Chungju Hwalok Cave (충주 활옥동굴)

Developed in 1922 during the Japanese Forced Occupation, this is the only talc mine in Korea and is the largest in the East, with a recorded length of 57km, an unofficial length of 87km, and an underground vertical x_height of 711m. A 2.5km-long stretch of the cave has been developed into a tourist site, filled with light sculptures, performance venues, and health therapy zones. LED, neon, and a variety of natural lights create a mysterious atmosphere, and since the temperature stays between 11 and 15 degrees year-round, it's even more popular in summer. There is also a kayaking experience that allows visitors to see inside the cave by kayaking in a lake created by mineral water.
Note that the temperature inside the cave averages between 11 and 15 degrees Celsius, which is warm in the winter but cold in the summer, so you'll want to bring a long-sleeved jacket.

Goesan Natural Dream Park (자연드림파크(괴산))

It's a cultural hub that offers craft workshop tours, inspection center tours, and experience programs such as healing culinary sessions and crafting your own souvenirs.
