Monte Gwanaksan (관악산)

Con la creación del distrito de Gwanak-gu en Seúl, en 1973, este tomó el nombre del monte Gwanaksan (629 m), que ahora es un símbolo de esta zona. Todo el año, ofrece a los ciudadanos un agradable descanso en la naturaleza, y por sus superficies relativamente regulares sin muchas rocas es muy popular entre los montañistas principiantes. El punto Yeongjudae es el más elevado de todos los senderos de la montaña.

Cada estación cambia de color con sus exhuberantes plantas y flores coloridas, atrayendo visitantes de otras áreas de Seúl. En la cima de la montaña hay pequeños templos incluyendo el templo Wongaksa y el templo Yeongjuam, que fueron construidos por el primer rey de la dinastía Joseon antes de fundar el reino, para prevenir adversidades.

Este callejón se localiza en el límite entre los barrios Geumgok-dong y Changyeong-dong, en el distrito de Dong-gu, Incheon. Antes de la apertura de la vía férrea Gyeonginseon, este callejón formaba parte del camino emblemático que llevaba a Seúl, llamado Calle Ugakli. Durante las décadas del 60 y 70 del siglo XX, cuando se atravesaban penurias en todo el país, muchas personas solo pudieron acceder a los libros a través de estas librerías de segunda mano. La tumba Jeongneung es la tumba real de la reina Sindeogwanghu, que era la esposa de Taejo, el primer rey de la dinastía Joseon. En aquella época el rey, según las tradiciones del antiguo reino Goryeo, tenía dos esposas: una en Seúl, que llega a ser la reina Sindeogwanghu, y otra en su tierra natal. La Sra. Han, su esposa en su tierra natal, murió antes de que Taejo subiera al trono, por lo que fue la Sra. Kang quien tuvo el honor de ser coronada como reina.

Taejo tuvo dos hijos con la reina, pero aquellos príncipes murieron durante la revolución liderada por su hermanastro Lee Bang-won. Después de esta tragedia, Taejo perdió el interés por la política y dedicó la mayoría de su tiempo a orar por su esposa e hijos en los templos budistas situados en Jeongneung.
