Este museo proviene de la "Galería Soodo", que fue construida en Chungmuro, antigua sede de la universidad, en 1959. Este edificio de cuatro plantas fue construido al estilo de una torre de la Era Baekje, y fue ampliado el 20 de mayo de 1977.
