Este monte se eleva 508 metros sobre el nivel del mar y sirve de límite entre los barrios Sanggye-dong y Junggye-dong del distrito Nowon-gu de Seúl y el distrito Byeolnae-myeon de la ciudad de Namyangju. Su superficie total es de 5.355.396 m². Fue declarado Parque Municipal en 1977.

Seokparang is a restaurant built from the sarangchae, or meeting room, of a villa that was owned by Heungseon Daewongun, the father of King Gojong of the Joseon Dynasty.
