L’île Muuido se situe juste à côté de l’île de Yeongjongdo, où se trouve l’aéroport international d’Incheon. Comme son nom l’indique (“la parure d’un danseur”), l’île Muuido est splendide. Les 2 plages de l’île sont Silmi et Hanagae. Il est possible d'y pratiquer la randonnée sur différents sentiers sur le mont Horyonggoksan et jusqu'au pic Guksabong. Il est aussi possible d'y pêcher ou de ramasser des coquillages.

Plage du rocher de la fée (선녀바위)

Le nom de la « plage du rocher de la fée » provient d’une petite source d’eau fraîche qui s’est accumulée sur la plage sous un rocher en forme de femme. La plage est calme, car les touristes y sont rares. On peut voir de magnifiques rochers entourant le front de mer, et la partie centrale de la plage est recouverte de coquillages. Le premier réflexe des visiteurs, c’est de se mettre à la recherche du rocher de la fée, mais celui-ci n’est pas facile à repérer parmi les nombreux autres rochers aux formes pittoresques. Les riverains sont également réticents à révéler son emplacement, de peur qu’il soit endommagé par les visiteurs.
Mais ne soyez pas trop déçu si vous ne trouvez pas le rocher de la fée. La seule vue de la plage et de ses étranges rochers comblera n’importe quel visiteur.

Plage d'Eurwangni (을왕리해수욕장)

La plage Eurwangni est située au sud ouest de l'île Yongyudo près de l'aéroport international d'incheon. La plage Hanagae, le plus grand rivage de l’île Muuido, peut s’enorgueillir d’une plage de sable fin longue d’un kilomètre. D’uniques bungalows disposés au bord de l’eau se transforment en maison flottantes lors des marées. Au retrait de la marée, la plage se métamorphose en un vaste estran. Un grand nombre de palourdes, escargots de mer et crabes et peuvent y être attrapés à mains nues. La plage offre une vue sublime sur des couchers de soleil rougeoyants, un détail n’ayant pas echappé au réalisateur du drama ‘Stairway to Heaven’, ayant choisi la destination pour certaines scènes de tournage.
