Opened during the early years of Jokbal Street, the delicious meat at this restaurant is fondly remembered by customers. While the meat itself has almost no fat, the fat portion is extremely soft and savory. Il fut détruit durant l’invasion japonaise en 1592 et plus tard, en 1748 (24ème année du règne du roi Yeongjo), il fut reconstruit et renommé Bongwonsa par deux moines, Chanjeup et Jeungam. « Yeongsanjae », l’un des rituels bouddhistes mais aussi Propriété Culturelle Immatérielle Importante numéro 50, y a lieu tous les 6 juin, afin de prier pour la paix dans le monde et pour la réunification coréenne. En 2009 il fut désigné Patimoine Culturel Immatériel de l’Humanité par l’UNESCO. Durant Yeongsanjae, vous pourrez profiter d’arts bouddhistes tels que Beompae (musique de temple pour les rituels) et de la danse.
