L’astro camp de Ilan possède un planétarium et propose diverses activités de recherche. L’observatoire a pour but d’insufler l’intérêt et l’aspiration pour l’espace et les sciences naturelles chez les enfants. De plus, le « Camp Astro de Ilsan » offre aux enfants des informations précises et éloquentes sur les sciences naturelles.

L’obsevatoire possède un dome circulaire de 3 mètres, un dome coulissant, un téléscope catadioptrique et de nombreux autres équipements pour l’observation spatiale. Des programmes pédagogiques réguliers ayant lieu pendant l’été donnent des explications simples sur les techniques et les concepts, tout en offrant des histoires intéressantes sur les constellations. D’autres programmes sont proposés, parmi lesquels « Voyage dans l’espace avec papa » ou « Visite familiale du week-end ». Le programme « Voyage dans l’espace avec papa » est organisé tous les jours de 21h à minuit, et permet d’apprendre à observer l’espace et à se servir d’un téléscope. Le programme « Visite familiale du week-end » a lieu les week-ends de 10h à 17h, propose des projections de court-métrages et permet de découvrir le téléscope et d’autres équipements.
