Ca'del Lupo is an Italian restaurant, closely located to Paris Baguette in Hyoja-dong, Jongno-gu near Gyeongbokgung Palace Station. Though the restaurnat masters delicious homemade Italian cuisine on the inside, the exterior is wholly Korean. This unique combination of Hanok (traditional Korean house) style housing and Western foods is drawing a lot of people to Hyoja-dong. The great mix of both cultures can be seen in the sophisticated decorations and from the amazing food. The herbs they use are picked directly from the restaurant's personal garden. But to enjoy the atmosphere here, you will have to make a reservation far in advance.

Myeongdong Yeongyang Center is a 52 year-old specialty restaurant in Myeongdong. It specializes in samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) and tongdak (roasted chicken). In 1960, Yeongyang Center has started to sell tongdak roasted on an electric rotisserie. Since then, the crisp and not-at-all greasy taste has attracted popularity among local Koreans and it has become a must-visit restaurant among foreign tourists. They use chickens provided by directly owned chicken farm and the owner of the restaurant thoroughly manages all the process of cooking even from the ingredients preparation level.
Their main menus are samgyetang and tongdak. The Samgyetang features its tender meat and thick broth after boiling for 2 hours and the tongdak features crispy and not-fatty taste of the well-drained chicken. Among the menus, sansam Samgyetang stuffed with wild ginseng powder is the most be-loved menu.

Le Seokjeondaeje est une cérémonie à la mémoire de Confucius qui a évolué au fil du temps à Sungkyunkwan, la plus haute institution éducative de la fin de la dynastie Goryeo et de la dynastie Joseon. Cette cérémonie commémorative a été désignée Important bien culturel immatériel n° 85.

La version actuelle simplifiée du Seokjeondaeje s’appelle le « Seokjeonangmu ». La cérémonie contient de nombreux éléments fondamentaux du Seokjeondaeje. C’est un rituel traditionnel du Munmyo (sanctuaire de Confucius) qui rend hommage aux grands lettrés confucéens, de même qu’au philosophe chinois Confucius. Le cérémonial décrit le principe confucéen du « Ye » entre le professeur et l’étudiant au moyen de la musique et de la danse.

Le Seokjeondaeje / Seokjeonangmu est composé de plusieurs spectacles, incluant le « Taepungmu » (Bien culturel immatériel national n° 92), le « Cheonjiui Sori » (le son de la terre et du ciel) et le « Hangmun » (apprentissage). Le « Hangmun » dépeint la manière dont les habitudes savantes établissent le « Ye » (standards éthiques du confucianisme), et comment la bonne musique complète un solide apprentissage, qui mène finalement à un monde en paix.

Le Munmyoilmu est un spectacle de danse rendant hommage aux grands professeurs qui ont appliqué les enseignements de Confucius. Il se divise en deux parties : le « Munmu », qui est une danse symbolisant la vertu du savoir, et le « Mumu », qui décrit la vertu des arts martiaux. Le premier transmet les concepts de respect et d’honnêteté à travers la danse, et le second consiste en des mouvements d’arts martiaux défensifs et offensifs.

Haeunjae (下隱齋), meaning “hermit’s residence,” is a hanok (traditional Korean house) residence located in Seochon Hanok Village, near Gyeongbokgung Station on Seoul Subway Line 3.
