La branche en Corée du musée français Grévin a ouvert ses portes le 30 juillet 2015 à Séoul, dans le quartier Euljiro. Après l'ouverture de branches à Prague, puis à Montréal, la branche du musée à Séoul est le premier établissement Grévin en Asie.
Le musée de Séoul propose ainsi d'apprécier des reproductions grandeur nature de stars internationales comme John Lennon, Marilyn Monroe, Tom Cruise, etc ou des stars de la Corée comme Psy, G- Dragon, Kim Yuna etc, mais aussi des personnages historiques comme le roi Sejong, le général Yi Sun-Sin etc. Le musée propose ainsi 80 personnages en cire, en plus de salles thématiques et diverses activités pour repartir avec un souvenir du musée.

Ce festival très ancien ayant ses origines dans le royaume de Silla, fait figure d'événement phare en Corée. Cet événement est par ailleurs inscrit au patrimoine culturel immatériel de l'Unesco et classé comme patrimoine traditionnel national en Corée.
