L’annexe Nam Séoul du Musée d’Art de Séoul (SeMA) a ouvert dans le bâtiment de l’ancien consulat de Belgique le 2 septembre 2004. L’ancien consulat de Belgique (site historique n° 254) a été construit en 1905 et restauré en 1983. Les colonnes ioniques classiques et les cheminées du bâtiment ont été conservées en l’état, permettant d’étudier l’architecture classique des années 1900 du musée, ainsi que l’art moderne.

Ce bâtiment aux pignons bleus, d’une surface de 1 569,58 m², abrite des salles de classe (au 1er sous-sol) et des salles d’exposition ainsi que des bureaux (au rez de chaussée et au 1er étage). A l’extérieur se trouve un parc des sculptures.

Le Musée d’Art de Séoul possède deux annexes : l’annexe de Gyeonghuigung et l’annexe de Nam Séoul, utilisée principalement pour les expositions plannifiées et l’éducation artistique pour les enfants.
