Established and run by the Goeun Foundation, the Goeun Museum of Photography and the Goeun Contemporary Photo Museum are located in Haeundae, Busan and are the first photography museums founded outside of the capital city of Seoul. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is situated on the coast of the north-eastern portion of Busan. This superb attraction offers visitors the rare find of a temple along the shore line as most temples in Korea are located in the mountains. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple was first built in 1376 by the great Buddhist teacher known as Naong during the Goryeo dynasty.

The main sanctuary of the temple was reconstructed in 1970 with careful attention paid to the colors that were traditionally used in such structures. On the right-hand side, inside a cave, is a uniquely designed Buddhist sanctum, while situated just in front of the main sanctuary is a three-story pagoda with four lions. The four lions symbolize joy, anger, sadness, and happiness. Other special sites at the temple are the 108 stairs and stone lanterns lining the rocky landscape. After going down the 108 steps, one will be delighted with the beauty of the temple. Midway down the 108 steps one can stop and enjoy the calming sounds of the waves, and view the majestic sunrise.

Yangsan Museum opened April 11, 2013 to preserve and study excavated cultural items from the Yangsan area, as well to act as an educational and cultural content space.

The design of the museum resembles the dolmen in Singi-dong and curved lines seen on the eaves of Tongdosa Temple’s Daeungjeon Hall, while the rotunda in the middle of the museum visualizes the old fire beacon on Wonjeoksan Mountain.

Yangsan Museum is comprised of five floors presenting the history and culture of Yangsan. The main exhibition hall is divided into a History Hall, Ancient Hall, Children's Historical Experience Hall, Special Exhibition Hall, and 3D Visual Hall. As the exhibition halls are divided by theme and period, the flow of the museum allows you to easily absorb the information on display. Not only does the museum display relics, but also models, dioramas and a variety of footage is on display, presenting the past, present, and future crossing over in one space to give visitors a nice sense of realism as they tour the facility.

Dongbaekseom Hoetjip is a nearby gourmet restaurant. It is a three story white building with a curved glass front on the second floor. The hearty modeum-hoe (assorted sliced raw fish) is the flagship dish of this restaurant. The portion is quite filling, despite the deceptively low price. You can enjoy the fresh raw fish of Busan, or any of the other dishes such as hoe-deopbap (raw fish bibimbap) and maeun-tang (spicy fish stew) which are also tasty.
