Musée de Baekja de Bunwon (분원백자자료관)

Situé sur le versant de la montagne Geumbong, ce musée est un établissement spécialisé en Joseon Baekja (porcelaine blanche de la dynastie Joseon).

L’immeuble du musée se remarque à première vue par son originalité. Si le bâtiment avait été construit sur le champ de fouilles situé aux alentours, des biens culturels ensevelis à cet endroit auraient été détruits. Un tel souci a motivé la conversion d’une école abandonnée en musée avec travaux de rénovation.

Une autre particularité de l’immeuble réside à l’extérieur, couvert de plaques de fer, qui laisse voir l’évolution de la matière rouillée avec le temps.

Ce musée expose principalement les articles découverts dans la région. Il ne possède pas énormément de Baekjas somptueux et parfaitement conservés, mais propose diverses collections englobant différents fragments de poteries et des plaques de la couche du terrain où ils furent découverts.

Les visiteurs peuvent également assister au processus de fabrication de Baekjas.
