Avec l'ouverture de la Chambre Daegu Opéra en 2003 à la même période, l'événement «Opera Festival Daegu 2003» avait été un franc succès. Depuis 2004, le festival est devenu le «Daegu International Opera Festival', événement qui permet d'apprécier des spectacles nationaux et internationaux.

Le resort du lac Suseong se situe au nord-ouest du picYongjibong (629m) à Beommul-dong. Il permet d'apprécier de très beaux paysages avec les différents monts entourant le lac. Le parc occupe une surface totale de 218,000 ㎡. 

Le lac Suseong est un lac artificiel créé en 1925 durant la période de l'occupation japonaise en Corée afin de fournir de l'eau aux exploitations agricoles aux alentours. Le site est devenu aujourd'hui une aire de repos apprécié par les citadins. Aux alentours du lac, on trouve de nombreuses structures pour la promenade ou le vélo. Depuis septembre 2007, le site abrite également des fontaines musicales, en service entre mai et octobre (4 fois par jour) chaque année.

Yongjibong Restaurant serves champum hanu (Korean beef) certified by the government of Gyeongsangbuk-do and jointly developed by Yeungnam University and Gyeongsangbuk-do Livestock Cooperative. The traditional Korean course meal and champum hanu course meal are particularly delicious.

Jageumseong is in a building designed like an ancient Chinese palace, serving rare Chinese dishes in a great atmosphere. The authentic dishes are made of carefully selected ingredients and served by friendly staff. The unique recipes from different regions of China are combined with those of Korea. The restaurant won the Presidential Award in October 2007 on Tourism Day. It also obtained the ISO certification. The restaurant only uses olive and canola oil to make healthy dishes.

Le Festival International de Jazz de Daegu (FIJD) a pour but de contribuer à répandre les programmes culturels uniques de Daegu et à savourer la musique d’un pays particulier.
De célèbres musiciens invités interprèteront du jazz et de la musique contemporaine pendant trois jours d’affilée. Le festival proposera des spectacles de rue et une série de concerts plus intimistes dans des clubs. Suseong Artpia, opened in May 2007, is a major art center in Daegu. It has specialized, independent spaces for housing performances, exhibitions, and art camps. The art center’s facade was designed to resemble a crane flying away with its wings stretched out in order promote the image of Muhaksan Mountain (named as such because its shape is reminiscent of a flying crane or hak), the mountain on which the center is located. When viewed from the sides however, the center is shaped like a ship, as it was once the site of a large pond. With such an impressive exterior further highlighted by impressive lighting at night, water fountains, and landscaping, Suseong Artpia has become a rising attraction of Daegu. The center is equipped with a mega concert hall that can accommodate diverse genres of performing arts such as an opera, musical, ballet, theater, dance, music concert, and more.
