Mit der Glocke Bosingak während der Joseon-Zeit die Zeit angesagt. Um 04:00 Uhr morgens rang sie 33 Mal und verkündete den Beginn des Tages und die Öffnung der Stadttore, um 22:00 Uhr nachts rang sie 28 Mal und signalisierte die Schließung der Tore. Die Glocke befand sich ursprünglich am Tempel Wongaksa, wurde jedoch im Jahre 1619 zu ihrem heutigen Standort verlegt. Sie hat einen hohen, kulturellen Wert, da ihr genaues Baujahr bekannt ist und Historiker so Reliquien aus der selben Zeit genauer datieren können.
Jeden Tag um 11:20 Uhr (außer Montags) findet eine einstündige Läutzeremonie statt, und jeden 31. Dezember wird mit einer beliebten Läutzeremonie das neue Jahr begrüßt.

Museumsdorf Donuimun (돈의문박물관마을)

Das Museumsdorf Donuimun wurde als erstes Dorf innerhalb des Westtors der Festungsmauer Hanyangdoseong gebaut, und enthält somit nicht nur historische Werte, sondern bewahrt auch Erinnerungen an das moderne Zeitalter von Seoul auf. Im Jahr 2003 wurde das Dorf mit der nahegelegenen Gegend Gyonam-dong in Jongno-gu zur „Neustadt Donuimun“ ernannt und sollte eigentlich zu einem Nachbarschaftspark umgestalten werden. Aufgrund seines Wertes als erstes Dorf innerhalb des Westtors der Festungsmauer entschloss sich die Stadt Seoul jedoch dazu, das Dorf in ein Museumsdorf umzuwandeln und den Stadtbewohnern Seouls ein historisches und kulturelles Gut zu hinterlassen. Die Gebäude des Dorfes wurden so gut wie möglich in ihrem Originalzustand erhalten, und so kann man moderne Gebäude und Hanoks in 100 Jahre alten Gassen finden.
