Hanbat Sikdang is a traditional Korean restaurant that opened in 1955. It specializes in various Korean soup dishes made with a broth simmered from beef bones for over five hours. The signature dish is Sohanmari tang (Ox bone soup special), a type of rich gomtang (beef bone soup). The menu also includes seolleongtang (ox bone soup), doganitang (ox knee soup), galbitang (galbi soup), and suyuk (boiled pork slices). It is conveniently located near the KTX Daejeon Station.

Jeongsikdang is a traditional Korean restaurant that has been operating in the same location since the 1980s, maintaining a legacy of taste. Renowned for its spicy dakbokkeumtang (spicy braised chicken), it has expanded to a second branch. The fried rice cooked with the remaining seasoning from the dakbokkeumtang is also delicious. Sungsimdang was first established as a small bakery selling jjinbbang (steamed bun) in front of Daejeon Station in 1956, and has since become an iconic bakery that represents Daejeon as well as Korea's baked goods. Baked goods at Sungsimdang are all handmade using quality ingredients and reach almost 400 in variety, including breads that uses slow-bread process which requires a 16-hour fermentation.
